Who can sign up?

Letting agencies, landlords and third parties — such as PropTech companies — can all sign up to use Movem today. We have a dashboard suitable for agency branches, and a beautiful API built for other companies.

Applicants cannot sign up for our service directly, and have to be invited by an agent, landlord or company.

Getting a demo

Sometimes people are happy just signing up online, using the product themselves, and learning on-the-fly. However this isn't always suitable.

Big organisations —or complex integrations — often want to see a demo, either in person or over Skype. We do both of these on request. If you're interested, reach out to us on

Types of account

There is only one product: Movem. Then, you're able to add-on human verification — which we call hybrid referencing. To summarise: whenever Movem cannot instantly reference an applicant, we will manually verify the information using traditional methods.

However, there are two types of account:

  • The dashboard — A 'ready-to-go' dashboard for landlords and letting agencies to start referencing tenants immediately. 👨‍💻
  • The API — A flexible API that lets other services request/receive references. This is perfect for other PropTech companies wanting to build instant referencing into their core product. 👨‍⚕️

Do applicants need to create accounts?

No, applicants do not need to create an account with Movem when completing a reference. When an applicant receives a link to start a reference, they're good to go.

Contracts and terms of business

Whenever you create an account, you will be asked to agree to our terms of business. This can be completed digitally, and will be saved to your account.

If our terms of business ever change — for example if we've released a new feature that wasn't covered in the older version — you may be asked to sign a newer one.

Is Movem suitable for a single-branch agency?

Yes! It's suitable for a landlord with just one property, but scalable enough for the biggest agency chains in the UK. 👌

Multiple accounts per branch

Inside the dashboard you're able to create multiple user accounts for your branch. These can all access to the same data, and are really useful for on-boarding and training.

For example, when we push new features we educate all of our users the next time they log in. If everyone shared one login, only the first person to use the dashboard that day would see the training.

Whereas if two people had their own accounts, they'd both benefit from personalised on-boarding, regardless of who used it first.
